The Avon Track & Field League was established in 1984 to provide locally based competition for clubs in and around the Bristol and Gloucester area. Over the years, the number of participating clubs has naturally evolved, but our commitment to offering accessible, well‑run athletics opportunities has remained constant.

The League operates independently from the Avon Athletic Association. There is no rivalry between the two organisations - we simply serve different roles within the sport and work in complementary ways to support athletics across the region.

We believe athletics should be accessible to all.
